When I work with collage I am reminded that art is an opportunity to explore and experiment.
I begin a piece by risking using unexpected materials.
I know a piece is done when the deadline arrives.
When my work is going well, I am filled with a sense of fulfillment.
When people see my work, I'd like them to be intrigued and enlightened.

The second sentence really doesn't make sense to me...you can take out the word risking. And another sentence talking about why these materials are unexpected? Are they nontraditional materials? are they things that do not "belong" together. etc.
ReplyDeleteWhen the deadline arrives! Yes this is true. But again, another sentence here maybe to talk abut deadlines and how they are a part of your process just like using unexpected materials.
Are there any particular ideas or themes in your work? Are they just all abstract nonrepresentational pieces? Are there any concepts or ideas you are interested in?
